The HP ProLiant ML110 G5 is a small, single-socket tower server from HP, released around 2008 and now retired. It is a Micro ATX tower (4U) with room for four hard drives.
Specs of the server as it came from HP:
- Intel 3200 chipset, with a choice of processors from single-core Celeron up to quad-core Xeon X3300 series
- Up to 8GB of PC2-6400 unbuffered ECC DDR2 RAM
- Integrated SATA controller with embedded RAID (4 ports for hard drives), or a SAS host bus adapter on the SAS models
- 4 hard drive bays
- Embedded NC105i Gigabit Ethernet adapter
- Four expansion slots: 1 x PCI and 3 x PCI Express
- 365W power supply
- Optional Lights-Out 100c remote management card
How mine is set up:
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
- 8GB RAM
- 500GB hard drive
- 12 Gigabit network cards in total
It has been used as a test box for the Double Speed Internet series, with 2 GigE connections straight to the cable modems, and later as the router for the house network.
